On Friday 31 July 2015 the Euro Challenge will take place in the International Arena at the CLA Game Fair, Harewood House, Leeds.

The Euro Challenge is a team event for 9 teams, 8 teams from Europe and one from the UK. Each team consists of three handlers and three dogs from different retriever breeds or other breed which works as a retriever. The test will simulate the many and varied situations that arise when out shooting and picking-up. It is always very interesting to see how the various types of dogs deal with the same exercise.

The team representing The Netherlands will come over with a Labrador, a Golden retriever and a German Longhair Pointer. Team captain Gerda Companjen did pick the dogs on their quality of having a Field Trial Award and Awards in Open Working Tests.

Each team may arrange its own sponsorship and the Dutch team is very honoured that CSJ will be the sponsor! Team captain Gerda Companjen does own Golden retrievers as well and is delighted with the result of feeding CSJ. This top quality food covers the special needs of working dogs, even the most sensitive one.

Hope to meet you all at the CLA Game Fair!

“The dogs are thriving on the natural Champ!, they are in excellent physical condition, and their coats are outstanding. Even the cats are eating it!!” Emma Gates
2014 was a huge success. From July to December we had some fantastic results and achievements. We saw Galaxy crowned Junior Champion of Belgium, which she achieved with ease in just 3 shows with 3 x JCAC and all graded Excellent.

She also continued her success at both open and champ show level continuously getting placed and gaining many Best Puppy in Breed, Best of Breeds and multiple working puppy and working adult group wins and placings.

In December she also completed the requirements for her first working title, the Working Pack Dog WPD through the AMCA. She is now known as JCh Bel Icewolf Strike a Pose de Lunartico WPD.

We also saw Savanna achieve her first working title too – Reina de las Nieves de Lunartico WPD. Huge well done to the ladies.
And we have had an amazing start to 2015 with the youngsters too.
FB_IMG_1432839415509Galaxy has achieved many best of breed and working group placings, and was 2Exc in a very strong junior bitch class at the 90th International Dog Show Luxembourg.
Galaxy is also in training for her next working title which she hopes to carry out with Leo and Bonita later this year.
Bonita has continued to shine in the show ring too, winning many breed classes, best puppy in breeds, and puppy group placings.she is also a multi puppy group winner, a puppy bitch stakes winner out of 27 entries, and at Tredegar Limit show in April she took reserve best puppy in show.
In January we saw our youngest team member Ivan – Rosskaja Russian Roulette de Lunartico, our first Samoyed hit the show ring, and boy did he arrive in style. In just 12 weeks of showing,he has achieved:
  • multiple best of breed
  • 7 puppy group wins
  • 2 x puppy group 2
  • 4 reserve best puppy in show
  • 2 Best puppy in show
At the South West working and pastoral breeds he won Best Puppy in Show, and at the working and Pastoral Breeds Association of Wales Champ Show, he won Best Puppy in Breed and Puppy Group 3, which also qualified him for Samoyed of the Year.
Ivan also joined us on our trip to Luxembourg where he was awarded best Puppy in Breed and shortlisted to the final 6 out of 57 dogs for best puppy in show. Ivan will also be starting his working titles with Leo and and the ladies later on this year.
working ad fb3We have had many inquiries as to what we are feeding our dogs due to the fantastic physical condition and excellent coat on them, especially the people we have met in Europe. We have given out numerous samples of CSJ for them to try, and have arranged to take out a load of CSJ on our next trip for them.
We are looking forward to more success in the show ring and on the working trails throughout the rest of 2015, and to a continuing successful partnership with CSJ. The dogs are thriving on the natural champ, they are in excellent physical condition, and their coats are outstanding. Even the cats are eating it!!
Thank you again to everyone at CSJ for your continued support, we hope that this will continue to many more years of success together.

We bring in Caniches and Bardinos and any other dog that touches our hearts, when we visit the Sara rescue centre in Lanzarote to choose the ones that come back with us to the UK.
We meet all our dogs before we bring them over and anyone who wants to choose a dog from the website, we will personally check their temperament before we fly them back to the UK.

El PrincipeSo far we have housed 80 dogs in the UK, most of which have been Podencos as they vastly outnumber the rest of the dogs in the shelter, but we aim to give all breeds that we can get out, a chance for a good life.

The 5 dogs here all need homes.
