This was the 50th Anniversary of the club holding its February open show at this venue, the Town Hall in Jedburgh. It’s a venue loved by the exhibitors because of its beautiful setting opposite the old Abbey, and with plenty of parking close by.
The entries were as usual very good for the show, with a relatively local judge Mrs Liz Barrett from Carlisle who did an excellent job.
The Club had wanted to mark the anniversary, so everyone attending had a glass of “champagne” and a piece of one of the two celebration cakes that had been made. These too were delicious.
The main winners were:
Best In Show Mr. & Mrs. J.R. Mann’s McBrock Miss Amelia
Res.Best In Show Mr. K.H. & Mrs. D. Moore’s Bardenfox Pussy Galore JW
Best Opp.Sex Miss K. Johnson’s Karison Kosta
Best Dog Miss K. Johnson’s Karison Kosta
Res.Best Dog & Best Veteran Mr. D. & Mrs. A. Fryer’s Ch.Irton Up Helly Aa
Best Puppy Dog Mr. D. & Mrs. K. Lothian’s Lairehope Duke Diamante
