Kizzy Calms Down and passes KC Bronze test

CSJ receive testimonials every day from delighted customers, but the message from Donna Waring about her stressed and barking puppy Kizzy stood out as dog training classes had refused to help because Donna is totally blind.

Other dogs barking at Kizzy had caused her to retaliate and bark back, which then escalated into a fear of small dogs and she would bark every time she passed one.

Donna worked hard with her by introducing her to dogs of various sizes and putting her on CSJ’s acclaimed Calm Down! herbal supplement.

When she finally found a dog club willing to allow them to attend Donna told CSJ, “I took her along and all my hard work and Calm Down had done its stuff. She was absolutely fine and just barked twice the whole of the time we were there.”

The following week the group were doing a Kennel Club Good Citizen Bronze test and Donna entered Kizzy just for practice…but she passed!

April Report for the Arfon WGC Retriever Test

DSCF0737The Arfon Working Gundog Club held their first test for AV Retrievers on Sunday 9th April 2017 at an excellent new venue Plas Llanddyfnan, Talwrn, Anglesey by kind permission of Mr Paul Hogarth and the headkeeper Mr Steve Cadman.
The judges were Mike Allen, Dave Gallimore and W F Williams. Many thanks to our hosts for allowing us to use the ground the, judges and all the helpers and the competitors for their support who all contributed to making it a successful day, also CSJ and Gary McCarthy our sponsors.

Crufts & the agility competition season has well and truly started now

Crufts was good

The agility produced some great runs which was even more exciting this year as the KC had invested in new carpet for the arena. This carpet was from the same manufacturer who supplied the Agility World Championships in 2012; one of the best surfaces the championships have been run on. So lots of happy people and non-slipping dogs which was nice to see and another example of how developments at the top of the sport filter down to the general community.

The agility competition season has well and truly started now

The weekend shows have started, the caravans are out and this weekend the sun shined too! My youngster Moog has had his first taste of the competition ring. It was very exciting for him. He is enthusiastic and finds all the movement very distracting, however, we did okay. We’ll be using the next three months as practice opportunities as we develop the competition partnership. It’s going to be fast and a lot of fun.

The Agility Team GB Coaching team are now focused on preparing for the Performance Weekend at the end of the month. This is the highlight of the squad process and a chance for the squad members to show us what they can do under international conditions. After this we announce the 2017 teams.

They’re running seminars, demonstrations and workshops with profits going towards the costs.
