The show was a success and everyone seemed to enjoy it. For the first time we scheduled Spanish Water Dogs and for the second time, Lagotto, since they were approved by the Kennel Club as spaniels.
There are now 10 spaniel breeds all with classes and breed judges at our show as well as stakes and varieties. We are very pleased with the generous sponsorship from our member spaniel clubs and individual committee members who all help make the show a success. The weather was good for us so photos could be taken outside.
There was a sale of knitted dogs to raise money for Parkinson Disease charity and this raised almost £80. We also ran a successful Treasure Hunt and raffle to boost club funds.
Profits on the show go towards holding other events during the year, the next being a day for people to train their dogs as gundogs. This is on 28th May and details are on our website: www.unitedspaniel.com
