British Manchester Terrier Club prepare to defend ‘Obreedience’ title at Crufts

By Ann Harrison

A team of 6 Manchester Terriers, 5 of whom have been fuelled by CSJ for many years, are off to Crufts in March to defend their title in the ‘Obreedience’competition. Known as ‘Manchesters Re-United’, the team have worked hard all year to qualify for the competition that sees teams of 4 pedigree dogs of the same Breed, plus two reserves, compete in Heelwork and four set exercises, including a retrieve, scent, send to bed and stop on recall. For a team of Terriers to hold their own against breeds more usually associated with obedience is no mean feat, and we will be working hard to once again be hailed ‘Britain’s Most Obedient Breed’!
