Dominique Cotton doubles up – winning at Agility and in position 1 in the gundog league

By Dominique Cotton

You’ll be pleased to know I wore my new top and jacket at Pure Agility on Sunday and won two classes and I’m in position one in the Gundog League.

I’ve always fed CSJ, mainly Fit ‘n’ Fast! and occasionally CP21 and CP30 and I couldn’t be more pleased with it so thanks.

I’m a 45 year old Driving Instructor from Stafford. I currently compete with 7 year old black working Cocker Ink and 3 year old white and black WCS Pixie.

We compete all over the country and Ink competes in Grade 7 which is the highest grade. He was awarded his Agility Warrant (Silver) and is working towards his Gold. He is a very intelligent lad and is a real character who loves his ball and his food.

Pixie missed a lot of training due to Covid and myself having a double knee operation but she’s coming good now.  She won into Grade 3 at Pure Agility on 7/3/22 and is extremely fast. Pixie is in the small category while Ink is in  medium.  Pixie is the naughtiest dog I’ve ever owned and has been a challenge to train. She is very strong willed and she’s not very good at at her waits  at the start line but we are working on this.

We have entered most of the qualifiers and I’m hoping to qualify for Crufts and  Olympia with them.
